Software
LIFTpro is presented to meet the absence in the lift industry of a comprehensive software package for the "Design, Validation, Commissioning & Testing" of new lifts.
LIFTpro is an independent Microsoft Windows 2000/XP application program meeting the demands of the Lifts Directive.
LIFTpro provides a uniform validation and testing protocol to be used when putting new lifts into service.
LIFTPro provides complete documentation –lift description, calculation reports and certificates - printed automatically in office and on-site, without the need for additional data input from the tester.
LIFTpro saves time and money in the office and on-site.
Short description of the software:
LIFTproXp supports both lifts that are individually tested, using Annex X of the Lift Directive (95/16 EC), as well as for model lifts needing a final inspection using Annex XIII of the Lift Directive.
LIFTproXp is applicable to both traction and hydraulic drive systems
LIFTproXp uses the database to access all data regarding safety relevant and other components.
LIFTproXp can be used by a single user or by multiple users in a network environment.
The program structure of LIFTproXp is modular and is composed of five independent modules:
1. The Assessment of Hazards module
After Annex I of the Lifts Directive, Preliminary Remarks point 3 the lift installer has to asses the hazards in order to identify all those which apply to their products. They must then design and construct the lift taking account of the assessment. LIFTproXp conducts the user step by step through this assessment. The documentation will be generated automatically by the program. (In preparation)
2. The Preliminary module
calculates and checks that all relevant lift safety components and building safety components are properly specified. The calculations are carried out simultaneously and use the formulae stated in the relevant standards. The Electrical technical details contains all the relevant checks in correspondence with the mechanical technical details
3. The Commissioning and Inspection module
includes lists that are used contain all relevant data from the technical details, the test instructions and the stages of the test. These data are entered on-site lists using a PC (notebooks) and are then compared to the data available with the program. Following this LIFTproXp can then issue the Inspection Report and if necessary the compliance report/record
4. All necessary Documentations such as:
the lift description, the calculations, the results of the mechanical and electrical technical details, a report on any deficiencies found during the inspection, remarks made to the installer and user, EC conformity/final inspection report and the final report itself are all produced automatically on- site and require no additional inputs.
5. The Final Report module
brings all the data from the preliminary and the final inspection tests together for final editing before printing and/or logging. Further work need not be carried out. The Report follows a similar format to the European NB-L format and the UK test standards "Specification for examination and testing of new lifts before putting into Service (PAS 32-1 and PAS 32-2)".
